Hey hey peeps! This week coming to you from 35,000 feet in the air over the pacific as I head home from 3 months in New Zealand. I am tired and writing this from a tablet with crappy plane wifi so please forgive my grammar errors.

Otherwise, I've been pretty consumed working with a new outbound sales team for my lead gen business. Its been a frustrating few months building the team but I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully I can get the team to stable/scable numbers in 6 weeks before I head off to Canada for the summerโ€ฆ and free up some mental bandwidth to buy another business.

Also I did make an offer on one of the businesses in my last email. Still awaiting response on that. For now, let's jump into the listings.

Digital Product Profit 170k+ (low multiple)

Digital product businesses are beautiful for their ability to scale without any investment in capital, aside from ad spend, and their (basically) 100% gross profit margin. The seller interview which you can find publicly on the Empire Flippers podcast reveals that this business sells some type of digital product around Disney travel. In the podcast the seller reveals that there isnโ€™t much competition in the info product space which some searching confirms. The business also has some subscription revenue.

Reading between the lines of the interview which makes clear FB ads are big driver of revenue, I believe there is big oopportunity to duplicate the ads campaigns onto Snapchat and Tiktok, assuming the audience is there. The businesses also has offers at a low price point which may lend itself to high ticket upsells.

The seller also provides a logical reason for selling -- something that I find rare in the online business world where many are just trying to pass off their fragile onlin businss before it implodes. There's a lot to love here with a 32x monthly multiple asking price.

Skilled trades businesss, such as hvac, plumbing, concrete, equipment operation, are suffering from a massive labor shortage and that is usually their main constriant of growth thus creating a hug pain point for the business owners. Attracting talent is often higher priority than marketing. I speak from experience as I currently own a concrete coating business, and have owned other trades businsses.

At this point a firm that can place talent is highly valuable and this business is delivering based on the numbers. It is what I would call a โ€˜remote service'. It's not a traditional online business, but it can be operated from a laptop. Details are sparse so it's hard to make guesses but the model lends itself to someone with marketing skills to attract talent, biz dev skills to get more clients, or even horizontal scale by simply duplicating the model out to other trades verticals.

This email newsletter sends out daily updates on gold and commodities markets. According to the listing it takes less than 30 mins to write the email and it seems like they have an offshore independent contractor doign the writing.

What I love about this one is that it is in a market with high paying affiliate programs and audience is massive and evergreen. As an email list it has direct and โ€˜owned' reach of audience, unlike an affiliate blog. Success with the model is really a factor of getting subscribers that convert to affiliate offers at a high rate (enough to math in to profitability).

My considered skepticism of it are the type of content, and how long it has actually been operating. I personally couldn't operate a business that is built on a fear mongering tactics (which is rampant in the gold niche). I also question whether it has been operating since 2018 as the multiple is low and the โ€˜userโ€™ data only goes back to July 2023.
