Thriving Community App, GHL SAAS, 10+ yr Digital Service
I’m excited to share 3 new deals worth checking out.
Personally speaking; I am hanging out in Twizel New Zealand. My girlfriend wanted to do some hiking around here before we head to Queenstown. I’ve been busy ‘managing’ a team of business development specialists (cold callers) trying to get lead gen in a new vertical running.
Community App That Solves Pain Point
💰 Asking Price: $1,200,000
💼 EBITDA: $262,000
📊 Revenue: $754,000
📅 Established: 2022
For the purposes of ‘acquisition’ I usually don’t like businesses that are less than 3 years old, but this one stands out. It’s an App based community that solves a mental health related issue that is experienced (claimed) by 1 in 5 people. That’s a huge audience and the fast growth backs it up.
Their community lives in an app and gives users access to courses, group mentoring, and psychologists. It’s well rated with 4.6 stars on TrustPilot, 4.9 on Apple, and 4.8 on Google — I know its VERY hard to get 4.9 on Apple.
With an engaged community and strong pain point the ways to increase revenue and customer base have to be vast. A 4.6x multiple might seem steep, but you’re paying for something incredibly valuable at that few other online businesses have: a community with a pain point (and I think 4.6x is very fair for that!).
GoHighLevel SAAS For Photography Studios
💰 Asking Price: $600,000
💼 EBITDA: $250,000
📊 Revenue: $500,000
📅 Established: 2020
Most of us here are familiar with GoHighLevel and their whitelabel ‘SAAS’ marketing software. This business is one of those that has identified an audience and solved a problem providing value. They claim to increase booking rates by 2-3x for photography studios.
This business ticks all the boxes for an acquisition, proven concept, recurring revenue, target niche, high switching cost (for clients). 600k, gets you a fairly priced stream of cash with customer base. Content marketing and direct sales would be my play to ramp it up!
In the diligence process, I would be particularly concerned with the ‘strategic partnerships’ they mention as the primary source of new customers. Also the 250k/500k EDITDA and Revenue numbers seem conveniently round, so I would make sure the pencil is sharpened to exactly what they are.
Product & Manufacturing Coordination For Big Box Retailers
💰 Asking Price: $1,100,00
💼 EBITDA: $325,360
📊 Revenue: $5,055,355
📅 Established: 2012
This is a unique online business that provides a B2B service — that I didn’t even know existed. Reading between the lines of the listing, it seems as though they essentially manage orders. In the procurement process, orders may need production, quality control checks, and packaging all of which some retailers outsource.
The company has relationships with big box retailers, including Costco, Sams Club, Target, and Home Depot and over a decade of experience with just 3 employees and 100% remote.
Those details put this on my ‘interested’ list… may be a hit or miss.
